Hello Friends,

Today I am going to show you how to make bootable USB Pendrive using command prompt with easy steps. In these days most of the IT people's facing the issue to format the windows because some time they don't have window CD so In these situation you can easily make a bootable pendrive with itself (no extra software required) and can format windows.

Just go through these steps!!

Step 1 - Insert Pendrive in your computer first and go to start search cmd , right click the  file and select run as administrator. The command prompt will appear, now you need to write the following comand step by step.

  • C:\WINDOWS\system32>diskpart
  • DISKPART> list disk
  • DISKPART> select disk 1
  • DISKPART> clean
  • DISKPART> create partition primary
  • DISKPART> select partition 1
  • DISKPART> active
  • DISKPART> format fs=ntfs  (run next command after 100% Completed)
  • DISKPART> assign
  • DISKPART> exit

Step 2 - After successfully completed step 1 then you have to map the windows file path where your windows file saved in your computer. like my window file in G: drive.

Step 3 - now you have to follow the next. map G:drive

  • bootsect.exe/nt60 h:  (in my case h: drive is my USB drive so change name as per your USB drive name here)
  • exit

After successfully updated all the targeted volumes copy the Windows files in your USB drive and see that will display as bootable USB.

Now Restart you PC and format.
